Your Song

Your Song, cover, by Ellie Goulding. This song is so beautiful. The piano has a beautiful melody and Ellie sings it wonderfully. This is a soft, gentle song.

The lyrics are basically written for someone hence 'Your song'. It would be very easy to relate to.

~
It's a little bit funny,
this feeling inside.
I'm not one of those who can easily hide.
I don't have much money
but boy if I did,
I'd buy a big house where we both could live.
So excuse me forgetting but these things I do.
You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue.
Anyway the thing is what I really mean.
Your's are the sweetest eye, I've ever seen.
And you can tell everybody, this is your song.
~

This song is originally by Elton John.

Ellie Goulding is an English singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Her top most popular

Wherever You Will Go

Wherever You Will Go by Charlene Soraia. This is a very pretty soprano and piano song. Its quite soft and good when you just want some relaxation and piano in your life.

This song is about having to leave the person you love.

~
So lately, been wondering
Who'll be there to take my place.
When I'm gone, you'll need love,
To light the shadows on your face.
If a great wave shall fall,
it would fall upon us all.
And between the sand on stone.
Could you make it on your own?
If I could then I would,
I'll go wherever you will go.

Cross That Line

Cross that line by Joshua Radin. This is a beautiful acoustic song. With soft music and lyrics. This is a wonderful song to listen to when you need to cool down and relax. You can close your eyes and listen to the soft guitar and vocals.

This is song is the story of doing something for someone you love, and being selfless for them. It's about how having that person in your life is worth so much more than not being there. Things can go wrong but that person is so special you would do anything for them.

~
All along I thought something would go wrong.
Didn't you?
Walls were up.
We never pushed our luck, like we wanted to.
Every time I loose myself I find
I'm left alone
But you need to know,
for you I'd break these walls.
I'd choose to fall.
I'm going to cross that line, for you.

Need the sun to break

Need the sun to break by James Bay. This is a song is a real easy song to get your own interpretation from the lyrics. However, I'd categorize this as a love song, one-sided if you may.

This song has a meaning to me in the sense, again, it reminds me of something specific. Like I said music is like a another journal. Storing memories until I listen to the song again.

The music has a good consistency of acoustics. It has stronger and softer points in music and vocals. Go ahead and give it a listen.

~
 I'm half way gone
Sleepless, I'm battle worn
And you're all I want
so bring me the dawn.
I need the sun to break
you've woken up my heart I'm shaking
all my luck could change.
Been in the dark for weeks
and I realize your all I need
I hope that I'm not too late.

Shatter Me

Shatter Me by Lindsey Stirling Feat. Lzzy Hale. This is a really unique and interesting song. It has some intense vocals and amazing violin with electronics as well. It's definitely a more get-moving song. I wouldn't recommend it for relaxation, but if that's what you're into.

Lindsey Stirling is a very talented American violinist who started out on YouTube. Lindsey does all kinds of music including hip hop and dub step.

The song has a meaning which is described Lindsey Stirling. Some of the lyrics in the song include:

~
Somebody shine a light
I'm frozen by the fear in me
Somebody make me feel alive and shatter me.
So cut me from the line
Dizzy, spinning endlessly.
Somebody make me feel alive and shatter me.
~
A quote from Lindsey Stirling about this album.

"The whole theme of the overall album is about breaking free and learning, so it’s kind of my process that I went to rediscover who I was and be okay with that person and then love that person and share that person. It all started kind of with the theme of "shatter me"—I had to break free from the shell that I put over myself, and so that’s why it’s "Shatter Me"."

A Million Grains of Sand

A Million Grains of Sand by Farryl Purkiss. Farryl Purkiss is an Indie singer  I really like Farryl's music, it's calming, and mostly acoustic. Most of his music is softer. This song specifically has an even spread of sound. I really like this song and it's meaning. It's about seeing that you shouldn't throw away the real you to please others. It also says that there is so much more for you out there then others may show you, or you yourself picture.

To me personally it also has a meaning. When I listen to this song it reminds me of a book I was writing a while ago. This song also reminds me of a time when I was lifting myself up when I was down. So now, naturally, when I listen to this song it lifts me up. Personally, I could call this a pick-me-up song, as well as a thoughtful song. Some lyrics include:

~
Before the day is done
let's throw the stones.
Into the wishing well
and watch them fall down.
I thought I heard a voice
coming from the trees,
It said now listen boy
Who're you trying to please?
As I fall into you, like a million grains of sand.

It's good for a writing playlist, relaxing playlist, car playlist, or even a around-the house playlist. This song is also a good song to sing-along to. :)

P.S.
This song is on the Album 20 years sheer Indie. Also, it's ok if you don't like this type of music. Not everyone is a fan.

Bloom

This song is Bloom by The Paper Kites. This song is gentle, acoustic, and a love song. This song isn't so specific to me because of it's lyrics but it reminds me of a specific time. It's a very smooth song for relaxing. I'm going to put some of the lyrics below.
~
In the morning when I wake,
and the sun is coming through,
oh, you fill my lungs with sweetness.
And you fill my head with you.
Shall I write in letter?
Shall I try to get it down?
Oh, you fill my head with pieces,
of a song I can't get out.
Can I be close to you?
~

You may have heard this song before, if so I'd love to hear what meaning it has to you. Or if it is just a song you like.
I hope you listen to this song and it brings feelings to your chest. And maybe even be significant to this time in your life. So if you listened to it in time it will remind you of something special.

Complicated

Complicated by Avril Lavigne. This is one of her older songs, and it is very iconic for me. I remember listening to it in the car a long time ago. And for a while I hadn't listened to it, but then I found it on a old mp3 player and it brought back lots of memories. This song is probably the furthest back meaningful song I could think of, besides all of the movie songs I've heard as a kid.

This song isn't really a fast-paced song but it's kind of in the middle. Being it differs throughout the song. If you want to chill out you could listen to this song. Here is a snippet of the lyrics.

~
Uh huh
Life's like this
That's the way it is.
Chill out, what you yelling for?
Lay back, it's all been done before.
And if, you could only let it be
You will see.
I like, you the way you are.
When we're driving in your car.
And you're talking to me one on one
~

I'm sure if you listen to Avril you've heard this song before. This song is about just what it seems. Life can be difficult, people can be difficult. Do you have your own special meaning to this song? Do you think you could? It's awesome if you can turn a song into more than just music.

Muse de la Music

I absolutely love music and even more when a song has a special meaning to me. Everyone has those songs. Though, do you ever really listen to the lyrics of new songs? Cause in those words could be the next story of your life. At least one part. I've found that I have playlists that are specific to a point in my life and remind of feelings, thoughts, memories, etc. That happened at that time. It's a really neat and special thing to have.
Do you ever want playlists for different occasions? When you want a bit slower songs or when your in the mood for dancing, upbeat songs.
I know that everyone has different tastes in music, and that's alright. This blog is a place to discover new songs. Songs that have meaning to me. And I'd love to hear what songs have special meanings to you.
In a nutshell, Muse de la Music is about getting those thoughts and feelings out of your system. And just allowing yourself to close your eyes and listen to some relate able lyrics. Finding that new song. And seeing that music can be so much more.
