A Million Grains of Sand

A Million Grains of Sand by Farryl Purkiss. Farryl Purkiss is an Indie singer  I really like Farryl's music, it's calming, and mostly acoustic. Most of his music is softer. This song specifically has an even spread of sound. I really like this song and it's meaning. It's about seeing that you shouldn't throw away the real you to please others. It also says that there is so much more for you out there then others may show you, or you yourself picture.

To me personally it also has a meaning. When I listen to this song it reminds me of a book I was writing a while ago. This song also reminds me of a time when I was lifting myself up when I was down. So now, naturally, when I listen to this song it lifts me up. Personally, I could call this a pick-me-up song, as well as a thoughtful song. Some lyrics include:

~
Before the day is done
let's throw the stones.
Into the wishing well
and watch them fall down.
I thought I heard a voice
coming from the trees,
It said now listen boy
Who're you trying to please?
As I fall into you, like a million grains of sand.

It's good for a writing playlist, relaxing playlist, car playlist, or even a around-the house playlist. This song is also a good song to sing-along to. :)

P.S.
This song is on the Album 20 years sheer Indie. Also, it's ok if you don't like this type of music. Not everyone is a fan.
